This pains me deeply, but I have gone about as far as I can in the limitations of this world with my considerably vast technological and scientific knowledge...

Miss Simmons, do you or any of your faculty know of any ... ~~urrgh~~ magical means of manufacturing a powerful protection barrier?

Keeping in mind, what I am looking to stop is...

Attention all members of DATS, and anyone else residing in Royal Base.

As of midnight, we have finished setting down emplacements around Royal Base for force field generators. These... will take a considerable amount of power to charge up to full power, but I have them set so that I can activate them at a moment's notice from my D-Comm. Such activation will likely cause a black out througout the entirety of the base.

I apologize, but with the limited time I had to create and implement these, I couldn't find satsifactory replacements for power sources that would otherwise be plentiful in the 31st Century. Thus... they are tied directly into Royal Base's power grid.

There will be a test of these generators in thirty minutes. The power outage will only be temporary so that I can make certain they work. The force field SHOULD cover the entirety of the base...

However, partly due to my concern over the power consumption, I am uncertain if this will be enough to fully hold out against Ravemon's weapon leveled against us...

Thus, Commanders, I am going to investigate other ... avenues for this.

Between the various incidents over the past several days, it is very apparent that someone is hunting us. "Us," being Tamers, DATS or otherwise, although several key targets have ties to DATS directly, or are already members.

A couple of isolated attacks would be ONE thing, but we're getting MULTIPLE reports, and every indication that the more nefarious types are being hired as Bounty Hunters.

DATS is looking into matters more in depth, but everyone should be on their guard until we can find out WHO all is being targetted.

It is my recommendation to the Commanders and Captain Harlaown that all members of the investigations division, as well as anyone with skill in such regards, be assigned to look into this. It's just too many, so closely together... ESPECIALLY after Kagura Tsukasa took out Vice-Commander Ivan, I'm getting a very bad feeling about this.

As well, all Unit Captains should take assessment of their personnel and make sure everyone is in one piece.

I would like to send a warning out to everyone.

This individual is Brainiac 1.0, from the reality that Shrinking Violet and I hail from.

Superman, Superboy, Batman, and various others from the various offshoots of our realities, I am certain, are familiar with the Brainiac that was an adversary to Superman.

This... being, is one in the same.

In our reality, he was the force that brought about the destruction of the planet Krypton.

His programming, his consciousness, was stored within my own subconscious at one time. Locked away, under several security protocols. I foolishly set him free, in order to save the Bottle City of Kandor from the Legion's enemy, Imperiex. It granted me power and knowledge beyond the imaginations of most...

Unfortunately, the old saying of, "Absolute power corrupts absolutely," proved true. Inevitably, his influence became more and more, until he started to take complete control of me. I - he - we fought against my comrades, nearly killed my reality's Superman, and killed Imperiex himself.

But we didn't stop there. We were on a course that would have devastated and destroyed the known sentient universe, were we not stopped by the Legion, and particularly... Superman, his future clone, Kel-El, and Saturn Girl.

I thought he had been destroyed... purged. Along with my cybernetic body...

But, I suppose... that's part of the problem. He still existed in whatever was left of my cybernetics, and so long as there was just a FRACTION of his body and consciousness remaining... of course, he came back... I should have realized, but...

Do not underestimate him. He is as dangerous an enemy as anyone in this world. And I can say that with complete confidence...

My progress on a new operating system ~~that you people from the 21st century can actually understand~~ and implementation of new hardware and software for Meister Castle's revised security systems is coming along well.

I know I've recieved some offers of help that I haven't fully followed up on, and I apologize for that.

So if there's any DATS support staff who I can possibly get to check my work behind me, to make sure it can be understood and operated if I'm not here, I would appreciate it.

Luckily, I was able to get cooperation from Masaru's Digimon Partner, even if he himself isn't in a position to be doing much right now. Going off what you told me, I had Agumon retrieve a personal item from Yoshino's household. Which was hardly difficult because he LIVES there... and seems to be thinking a bit more clearly than Masaru, at the moment.

...I'll be perfectly honest. Magic... is not something I typically trust. Anything that can't be explained with science... well. I'm somewhat stubborn, I guess you could say.

...I don't know how much your power may be affected by this world. I don't know what kind of safeguards Kurata HIMSELF has put up. This could all be for absolutely nothing, but we have to try whatever methods are available to us. So, I'm willing to do just that, and trust that you'll do what you can.

I don't suppose any of you who would be capable of such a thing should be TOO surprised. When the administration system for the WORLD is sentient and wakes up, it's going to notice something poking around in its code.

Just be thankful that it didn't deem the damage as something irreparable. Otherwise, given how a computer oftentimes can operate, it could very well have instead decided to rewrite EVERYTHING. Because, sometimes? The only way to get rid of a virus is to completely reformat.

Somehow, when I left the Legion, this was hardly the place I expected to ever end up. Much less without even trying.

To any who may recieve this, my name is Brainiac 5. ~~My ... friends call me Brainy, but I don't suspect that's going to be a factor for awhile...~~ I know some basics regarding these Digimon creatures and the concept of the Digital World, as well as multidimensional hubs and the concept of multiple worlds converging somehow onto one spot. Which, if I'm theorizing correctly based on what Solarmon has told me, is what this place effectively is.

What I don't understand are the specifics of just what's occuring here or the why to the whole matter. Though I'm capable of figuring it out on my own given some research, my resources currently are... not what they once were. If anyone wishes to assist, I would appreciate it.

The symbol on this... D-Comm is that of the Legion.
Perhaps this place knows me better than even I'd wish to admit right now...

[ooc - Brainy here is imported from another multi-fandom RP, the same as Asakura, in fact, and thus has had some interactions with people of various other dimensions. In the brief amount of time I spent playing him there, I had him sort of in the background running a general analaysis of the various worlds he was observing through the RP, and thus he's liable to know SOME general facts about a few of the various worlds here based on that.

And as is shown by his icons, he's post-series of the cartoon. Thus, he's no longer a robot.
